Environmental Catastrophes have become the order of the day . The Planet’s future hangs in balance. Among other problems the most serious is Global Warming . There is an urgent need on the part of the Nations of the world to cut down carbon emissions . The rulers are not likely do that. There is unemployment everywhere. Economies are sagging. The only answer for the Nations is to increase the industrial activity to overcome economic problems. Governments are political and most of them are democratically elected Governments. They have to take care of their citizens and their welfare . In such a “never before bad situation”, issues related to Environment take the back seat. Then how do we cut Carbon Emissions ? Here comes the role of the people. They have to volunteer to sacrifice many things for their and their children’s welfare.
The 6 'P' s that the Parents give their Children from the day a child is born
1. Physical well being (health)
2. Prayer – (fear in God)
3. Pleasing manners (etiquette)
4. Pupilage (education)
5. Possessions (Wealth)
6. Position (post / occupation) But what about the 7th P without which first 6 Ps are of no consequence.
The 7th P : Plants to be planted to protect the Planet ( Environment)
Most of the parents don’t do the 7th ‘P’ which are Planting trees , Planet saving & Protecting Environment The first 6 ‘P’s are their individual responsibilities in which the parents without doubt excel. Unfortunately the 7th ‘P’ is a collective responsibility. They think that SOMEBODY else will do the 7th ‘P’. That SOMEBODY also thinks the same way. But the truth is that the SOMEBODY is NOBODY. With all the 6 ‘P’s, their children hardly can do anything without the 7th ‘p’ which represents Environment . The children when grow will indeed need clean WATER & AIR without which they cannot survive. Every parent and citizen should take a pledge, “All Good Things Begin With Me” and ACT so . Saving the Planet is their collective responsibility and they should go all out to do it. There comes different kinds of Voluntary Sacrifice that are given below. The parents can join and play an active role at least in a few of them.
Governments will do it Then how this idea would impact the decision makers , rulers , politicians , & bureaucrats. After all they are also parents and secondly they are part of the society . When Voluntary sacrifice is sincerely practiced by people , the sprit will automatically spread to the Governments
